Studio Chassé's Winter 2025 Showcase

Performing in our winter showcase is a commitment that requires your family to make dance classes/rehearsals a priority in spring scheduling. Please thoroughly read all the information below before making the decision to participate in our spring showcase. Showcase registration and costume deposit deadline is 8pm Wednesday, October 1, 2025. Everyone must register through the portal. We will not accept emails or texts saying your dancer is participating. You must log in and register.

Dancers that choose not to participate in the showcase attend classes through Monday, November 17, 2025.

Budding Artists Note: Our showcase is different than a typical dance recital because our dancers sit in the audience with their family to watch the showcase. When it is their class’s turn to dance, Michelle will announce their class, and they will line up at the bottom of the stairs on the audience’s right that lead up to the stage. Once they are done performing, we ask that one caregiver meet them at the bottom of the stairs on the audience’s left to take them back to their seats. The showcase is roughly 45 minutes long and 6 dances total.

Venue

Studio Chassé’s Winter 2025 Showcase will be held in the Horace Jefferson Scruggs III Auditorium at Fluvanna County High School on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

 

Two shows

Our Budding Artists showcase will begin at 12:30pm, with doors opening to the auditorium at 12:00pm. Our Youth through Advanced showcase will begin at 2:30pm, with doors opening to the auditorium at 2:00pm

 

Dress Rehearsal

Dress Rehearsal will be on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at FCHS from 10:00am - 4:00pm.

 

Showcase Registration

Parents must log into their studio portal and register for the spring showcase by 8 PM Wednesday, October 1, 2025. At the time of registration you will pay a deposit for your dancers showcase costume. Instructions for registration are at the bottom of this page.

 

Winter Rehearsal Tuition 

Our winter showcase rehearsal tuition is auto-paid in one installment of $45 per dance on Tuesday, November 18th. Showcase tuition pays our instructors, rent & utilities for studio rehearsals, a portion of the venue rental fees (for use of the stage for dress rehearsals and the showcase), a lighting technician, janitorial staff, music purchasing/licensing, and programs.

 

Showcase Costumes 

Budding Artist costumes are $40 and Youth-Advanced costumes are $45 (unless otherwise noted). Costume payments are due by October 1st and are paid through the portal when registering online for the showcase. 

 

Attendance 

It is imperative that your dancer not only have good attendance during showcase rehearsals but also during classes in October and November. Dancers with excessive absences (more than 2) in October and November jeopardize their showcase eligibility, even after committing to performing. Those participating in the winter showcase are allowed one excused absence between Tuesday, November 18th and Friday, December 5th. No absences are allowed after Friday, Dec 5th.​

 

All rehearsals the week of the showcase (Dec 8 - 14) are mandatory. Studio Chassé is aware that there may be school concerts in the evening that week. We will adjust the studio rehearsal schedule that week to ensure all dancers can be there. Please let us know as soon as you receive any info from the schools of conflicting events.

Committing to our Spring 2025 Showcase means you acknowledge and understand:

  1. All studio/dress rehearsals must be made a priority in your family schedule November 18 - December 14. Excessive absences (more than 2) October - December jeopardize your participation in our winter showcase.

  2. One excused absence (per class) is allowed between Monday, November 18 and Friday, December 5.

  3. All studio rehearsals scheduled for your class December 8 - 12 are mandatory.

  4. Dress rehearsal on Saturday, December 13 is mandatory.

  5. You are agreeing that your dancer is able to make it to all scheduled studio rehearsals for their class Monday, November 18 - Friday, December 12 AND dress rehearsal at FCHS Saturday, December 13.

  6. Your tuition for showcase rehearsals will be auto-paid in one installment on Tuesday, November 18 along with any remaining balances for costumes.

  7. No refunds will be given for costumes or rehearsal tuition for any reason.

  8. I understand that if my dancer does not know the choreography, due to absences and/or lack of focus, the choreographer has the right to pull them from the piece.

COMMITTING TO THE SPRING SHOWCASE

Please log into our studio portal (desktop) or mobile app BEFORE 8pm Wednesday, October 1 and choose the classes your child is dancing with in the spring showcase. You will register in the portal/app just as you do for regular classes. Your costume deposit is due at the time of showcase commitment/registration, and if you have past due tuition you must pay that amount before the system will let you register for the showcase.​ Ensembles costume payments will be for the winter prodution number.
